I was born in California, but have moved a lot though the years.  I have lived in various part of the U.S. including New England, the southwest, the midwest and the west coast.  I live now on an island in the Pacific Northwest.

My art education was earned through the public schools of California, community colleges and State Universities. I went to West Valley college to get my A.A.  I earned a B.F.A. in painting and drawing from San Jose State University, and an M.F.A. in  sculpture from the University of Arizona.  Post graduate work in the book arts has been numerous classes and workshops at the San Francisco Center for the Book
